Our Story

How it all started...

The events leading to the constitution of Heritage were centered upon a desire to preserve and maintain the biblical truth that was embraced, preserved and passed down to our generation today.  This truth, our heritage, is focused on the supremacy of God in salvation, in providence and over all of life as scripture teaches.  We long to learn more fully that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  We are not sufficient for such a task, but look to the One who feeds the sparrows and holds the hearts of kings in His hand.

In May 2005, twenty-four believers gathered with more than 200 witnesses and twenty-one elders from various churches to establish Heritage.  God graciously blessed us to purchase land and build a facility that serves us in seeking His glory through the life of the church.  The church is not the building where we meet, but rather sinners who are saved by grace and being fitly joined together to bring glory to His name.

Expanding the vision...

As the love of God  is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit we come to know the beauty, forgiveness and blessings in Jesus Christ our Savior.  As we grow in our relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus the expressions of that love are spread to one another, our families, coworkers and communities we live in.  He has blessed us with everything that pertains to life and godliness and we're living  out that blessed condition on a daily basis.

Where we are headed...

Jesus came and spake unto his disciples, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:16-20). With each passing day as we grow in grace we come to know our sinfulness and great need of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Upon a confession of faith in him we follow his lead in baptism and join the great work of bringing him glory and spreading the great gospel news of the Kingdom of God and its King Jesus Christ.
